VOICE CARE FOR TEACHERS IN THE UNIVERSITY OF THE ASSUMPTION
June 6, 2015

Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales, together with Voice Care Executive Director Ada Cuaresma conducted the Voice Care for Teachers workshop as part of the In-service training of the University of the Assumption, Pampanga on June 1, 2015.

About 300 teachers gathered to learn about how to take care of their most valuable teaching asset. The 2-hour workshop started with the VoiceMaster talking about the Generation Z – the youth of this generation that make up majority of the classroom population. He explained the different behaviors and lifestyle of these young people, so that the teachers can understand their students better.

This was followed by Voice Care Philippines’ Executive Director, Ada Cuaresma, who tackled the subject of vocal health. Ada discussed the threats and vocal demands being placed on the teacher’s voice. She also had the class perform exercises to practice and experience the process.

Towards the end of the workshop, the floor was given to the teachers to share their own stories of having voice problems as part of their vocation. The Voice Care team also announced their upcoming book, “Voice Care for Teachers” written by none other than the VoiceMaster.

April 29, 2015

In May 2015, Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales flies to the beautiful island of Maui, Hawaii to attend a 25-day Advanced Leadership Training in Haggai Institute.

Haggai Institute is a worldwide community of Christian leaders that takes evangelistic expertise to places where it’s needed most. Students of the Advanced Leadership Training come from almost every profession from every Christian tradition. Despite the diversity of their backgrounds, all are focused on one task – bringing the values of Jesus Christ to the world, through direct evangelism or humanitarian efforts.

Among the notable Filipino alumni from Haggai Institute are former Chief Justice Reynato Puno, and Salt and Light Ventures President Boris Joaquin.

After a rigorous screening process of more than 8000 applications, Pocholo is one of the 30 delegates – and one of the youngest participants – selected from various parts of the world to attend this intensive, all-expense paid training. Only established leaders in their own fields are qualified to apply for the training. Through his advocacies in communication, voice and youth empowerment, there is no doubt that the VoiceMaster will not only successfully complete the training, but will use his learning to further his advocacies for the youth and his fellow Filipinos.
Congratulations and the best of luck, VoiceMaster!
